An adventure where no one in your family is just watching.
Not scary. Not just for puzzle-solvers. An experience where parents and children discover, surprise each other, and figure things out together for the very first time.
An activity to talk about all the way home.
At Questomatica we don't use number locks or combination padlocks. Every single puzzle responds to sensors, mechanics, and physical interaction. That changes how families experience the game together.
Physical puzzles don't reward just one type of thinking. They reward observation, intuition, spatial awareness and creativity — and the willingness to try something unexpected. Children often dare to attempt something without knowing exactly why — led purely by curiosity and instinct. And sometimes they're the ones who unlock the next step.
That is not a coincidence. It is how the rooms were designed — so that everyone in the group has their moment.
"For children, there is something quietly powerful about seeing their parents genuinely not know what comes next — playing alongside them, equally curious, equally surprised. Everyone is there together on an adventure they have never experienced before. No one has the advantage."
What families say
★★★★★Family · 2 adults, 3 children aged 8–13
"The topic was suitable for all ages and what I loved most was that each of us had an influence on solving the riddles. We made it out. Absolutely recommend for a family adventure."
★★★★★Family · daughter aged 8
"Our daughter, 8 years old, really enjoyed this escape game. It involves a lot of mechanic puzzles — if you are fed up of opening locks with 4 digits, you will really enjoy this dreamy adventure."
★★★★★Family · kids aged 7 and 12
"Our 7-year-old was the one who got us going when we were stuck. Sometimes having a 'young brain' adds a valuable perspective. The kids walked away proud of their achievements."
Both rooms work from age 8 accompanied by a parent or other adult. Children under 16 need at least one adult in the group.
Neither room was designed to be frightening. No horror, no jump scares. Arcade Invasion is pure adventure. Wake Up! has a dreamlike atmosphere with a few low-light moments — not meant to be scary, but worth knowing about for sensitive children.
Book for one person fewer and mention the child's age in the booking notes. No vouchers needed.
90 minutes total. No phones, no screens — just your family, a shared challenge, and something to talk about on the way home.

Family birthday
A family birthday or celebration in Amsterdam?
An escape room is one of those rare activities where the celebration is built into the experience itself. The tension of the clock, the moment when something clicks, the shared relief and laughter — these just happen naturally.
The 90-minute total visit fits neatly into a family day in Amsterdam — 10 minutes from Centraal Station, next to NEMO, easy to combine with lunch or dinner.
For groups of 7 to 12, both rooms can be booked at the same time — one adult per team. Group bookings →
"If the group has more children than adults, we recommend age 10+, and at least one adult is always required."
Common questions from families
Our minimum age is 8 years, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children under 16 cannot play without an adult in the group. If your child is younger than 8, please call us on +31 62 8383 155 — every child is different and we are happy to discuss whether it would be suitable.
Arcade Invasion is not scary at all — exciting and adventurous, with no dark moments or jump scares. Wake Up! has a few atmospheric moments with low light that some sensitive children may find spooky. When in doubt, we would recommend Arcade Invasion. You can also call us and we will help you make the right choice for your family.
One child under 12 years old joins free. Simply book for one person fewer than your total group size — for example, if you are 2 adults and 1 child, book for 2 people. Mention the child's age in the booking notes field. No vouchers or special codes needed.
None at all. The game master briefs your group fully before you enter. There are no number locks or digit codes — every puzzle is physical and intuitive. While the rooms are designed for adults, children who have never done an escape room often contribute just as much. Hints will be offered to support the group throughout if needed.
The game itself is 60 minutes. The total visit including arrival, briefing, game, and debrief is up to 90 minutes. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your start time — early arrival does not extend your game time and may result in unwanted spoilers.
Arcade Invasion is available in 9 languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Filipino, and Hungarian. Wake Up! is available in 14 languages, adding Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Greek, and Catalan. Just let your host know on arrival which language you prefer for hints. All game masters speak English; some speak Dutch. If the game master does not speak Dutch, a parent may be asked to help translate the instructions to younger children.
